Kásagyöngyből / From Seed Beads

Puca féle "Aya" karkötő és tsa / "Aya" Bracelet by Puca and co.

Olasz ónix és tigris jáspis ásványgyöngyökkel készítettem ezt a szettet. A karkötő és a fülbevaló Puca mintája alapján készült.

I made this set using Italian onyx and tigerskin jasper semiprecious stone beads. The bracelet and earrings were beaded after Puca's pattern.

 A medál viszont már saját elgondolás szerinti, és egyben a legelső ékszerem, amiben Swarovsky rivolit használtam. Hát, fényképezni még nem sikerül a csillogást.

On the other hand the pendant was made following my own concept. At the same time it is my very first piece of jewelry I used Swarovsky rivoli in.  Well, I can't yet manage to take a good photo of the sparkle.

Ha lúd, legyen kövér. Az első nekibuzdulás sikerén bátorodva készült egy második szett is. Nem volt elég azonos színű Kheops gyöngyöm, így kétféle lilás színt vegyítettem. Medálra, vagy más nyakláncra már gyakorlatilag egy sem maradt, így csak egy fülbevaló és egy karkötő készült. Szivárvány fluorit ásványok teszik hihetetlenül légiessé.

One may as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb. Taking the courage and succeeding with my first trial I completed a second set too. I didn't have enough Kheops beads in the same colour so I mixed two purplish shades. There were practically non of them left for making a pendant or any kind of necklace, therefore only a pair of earrings and a bracelet was made. They are unbelievably ethereal due to rainbow fuorite gemstones.

"Janus" szett / "Janus" set

Double-faced hence the name "Janus". Artificially dyed natural howlite  (turquinite) stone beads with beaded bezel. One side finished with red the other with golden seed beads. My old pendant suits them well.

Szűz Mária medál / The Blessed Virgin Mary Pendant

An elderly woman living in our neighborhood brought this pendant to me. It  has a gold bezel and hook, but the the later was so worn -out and thin that she was afraid to loose it if worn. She asked me to give it a new bezel and hook. You can see what I managed using beads. The pendant does not have a regular circular shape and in addition of course the original gold bezel remained on it. That was the most I could make out of it but she seemed to be satisfied with the final result.

 

Finally the necklace , the bracelet and the earrings are ready too.

Türkinit medál és fülbevaló / Magnezite Turquoise Pendant and Earrings

Újra pótoltam ezt a szettet is. Lassan "elkopnak" az ékszereim. Gondolom mások is, akik saját örömükre készítenek ékszereket, járnak úgy, hogy az ismerősöknek pont ugyanolyan medál, vagy gyűrű kellene, mint amilyet viselnek.  Hát ez történt ezzel a fülivel és medállal is. A karkötő maradt meg csak, az eredeti szettből (lásd a blog felső képén). Többnyire nem készítek egyforma darabokat, de ezeket annyira kedveltem, hogy az új szinte hasonmása a réginek. A fülbevaló majdnem teljesen ugyanolyan, mint a régi volt, de a fényes türkiz (c/l moss green)  delica gyöngyök helyett (June bug) szentjánosbogár színű kásagyöngyöt használtam (külső sor) így kicsit élénkebb lett. Természetesen a medál nem lehet ugyanolyan, hiszen nincs két egyforma ásvány. Ebben több az aranybarna erezet így egy kevés színjátszó arany delicával és a már említett szentjánosbogár színű kásával egészítettem ki a korábbi színpalettát (iris barna, i/c capri topaz). Kapott 7db 4mm-es türkinit gyöngy díszítést az aljára, bár lehet, hogy ez már nem kellett volna.

I had to fill in this set too. My jewels slowly "wear away". Possibly others who make jewellery for their own joy experience things as I do. One's relatives and friends would want earrings, pendants or rings just like the one you are wearing. This is exactly what had happened to the previous pieces of this set. Only the bracelet of the original set was left for me. As a rule I don't make identical pieces, but I liked these so much that the new pair of earrings and pendant are almost spit images of the old ones. The earrings differ in one type of bead. Instead of the c/l moss green delica I used June bug 11/o-s (outmost row), so they became slightly brighter. Naturally the pendant can't be identical because there are no identical stones. This one has more gold-brown matrix thus I added some iris gold delica and the above mentioned June bug seed beads to the already existing colour palette (iris brown and i/c Capri topaz). I also embellished the bottom of the pendant with seven 4mm magnesite stones but maybe I shouldn't have.

Szodalit szett / Sodalite Set

Végre elkészült a karkötőm ehhez a meglehetősen régi szódalit szetthez. Nagyon nehezen jött az ihlet, hogy milyen legyen. A lánc Chenille ( a herringbone változata) a medál és a fülbevaló pedig peyote-tal van befoglalva. A nyaklánchoz hasonló karkötőt szerettem volna, de valahogy túl vékonynak tűnt a karomon, duplán tekerve meg nem tetszett. Talán majd egy év is eltelt, mire rádöbbentem, hogy csinálhatom a karkötőt nagyobb átmérőjűre is, ugyanúgy Chenille technikával. Már csak az volt a kérdés, hogy az üreges zsinór öntartó lesz-e, vagy összeesik. Dupla annyi gyönggyel készítettem, mint a láncot (lánc:6db, kari:12db) és így kb. 1cm átmérőjű csövecskét kaptam. És öntartó, szép üreges csipke cső lett! Cizellált gyöngykupakkal zártam le a végét és t-kapcsot kapott. Ha lett volna itthon 1cm-es, vagy annál nagyobb szódalit gyöngyöm, akkor tettem volna a kapocs két oldalára, de a 8 millis arányaiban kicsi volt a karkötő átmérőjéhez, így ásványgyöngy nélkül maradt.

Finally my bracelet is ready matching my rather old sodalite set. It took a while for the inspiration to strike me what it should look like. The necklace is of Chenille stitch (a variation of herringbone), the pendant and the earrings are bezeled in peyote. I wanted a bracelet similar to the necklace, but it seemed to be too thin on my wrist, and wrapped around twice I just didn't like it. Almost a year has gone, when I realized, that I could make the bracelet in the same technic but of larger diameter. There remained only one thing to be seen: will the tube hold itself or will it collapse? I have made it double the size of the necklace rope (necklace: 6 beads, bracelet: 12 beads) and I got a 1cm diameter tube. And it is a nice stable hollow lace tube. I closed the ends with chiselled bead caps and it got a toggle clasp. If I had had a sodalite bead larger than 1cm I would have put one on both sides of the clasp, but the 8mm one I had in stock was too small in its proportion to the diameter of the bracelet. Therefore the bracelet remained without gemstones.

A nyaklánc átmérője 0,5cm, hossza 64cm. A medál teljes hossza 6cm, a szódalit kaboson 4,5cm. A fülbevaló pici, de bájos, mindössze 8mm-es ásvány gyönggyel.

The diameter of the necklace is 0.5cm and its length is 64cm. The total length of the pendant is 6cm, the sodalite cabochon is of 4.5cm long. The earrings are tiny but cute made with only an 8mm stone bead.

Befoglalt féldrágakő medálok / Bezeled Semi-precious Stone Pendants

Ezek a szabálytalan alakú lapos féldrágakövek befoglalva csodálatos medált alkotnak, én jobban szeretem ezeket, mint a szabályos formákat. Általában delica és 15/o gyöngyöket használnak a befoglaláshoz, de én 11/o-s gyöngyöket használok a legkülső sorokban. A gyöngyök színe többnyire harnonizál a kővel és szívesen készítem a két oldalt különbözőre.

These flat irregularly shaped semi-precious stones make beautiful pendants and I prefer them to the regular shapes. Usually delica and 15/o seed beads are used to bezel cabochons but in the outermost rows I use 11/o-s.The colour of the chosen beads is usually in harmony with the stone and I like beading the two sides in a different pattern.

Kétoldalas lepidolite medál. Ugyan a két kép színe egy kicsit eltér, ez ugyanannak a medálnak a két oldaláról készült, csak a fényviszonyok miatt kicsit másnak tűnik. A valóságos színekhez talán a jobb oldali kép színei állnak közelebb.

Two-sided lepidolite pendant. Though the colours of the two pictures differ they are photos of the two sides of the same pendant, only they seem to be different due to light conditions. The colours of the picture on the right are closer to the real colours of the pendant.
